Have you ever finished a full, busy week in your business and thought, “Wait… how did I do all that and still feel behind?”
If so, hi. You’re in the right place.
Welcome to The Business Break, presented by L. Barger Bookkeeping. I’m Lindsey Barger. I’m a bookkeeper, and I work with small service businesses: lawn care companies, salons, dog groomers, cleaners, handymen, the people who keep their communities running. Most of the owners I talk to are really, really good at what they do. What they don’t love is the paperwork, the numbers, and that nagging feeling that something on the back end is slipping.
So I made this show for you.
Every Monday, we’re taking a 15-to-20-minute break. We’ll talk about the money: bookkeeping, cash flow, and whether your business is actually profitable. We’ll talk about systems: the routines and processes that make your week lighter. We’ll spend time in the Owner’s Corner, where we get honest about the real, human side of running a small business. And every single episode ends with one thing to fix this week: one practical thing you can do in under 30 minutes to feel more in control.
No jargon without an explanation. No shame about being behind. Just clear, practical help from someone who genuinely loves this stuff so you don’t have to.
Our first full episode drops next Monday, and we’re starting with a big one: why a busy business can still feel broke.
Follow the show so you don’t miss it. And in the meantime, here’s your very first one thing to fix: put 15 minutes on your calendar next week, just for you and your business. We’ll fill it in together.
This is The Business Break. Focus on what you love. I’ll take care of the rest.
